TapHunter’s latest contest has been a smashing success! We got a ton of great entries, from quirky one liners to professions of love for craft beer in general. Some how, we managed to narrow down all the applicants so that we had three winners. They were chosen for their obviously love for their favorite beer, creative flair, and personal touch.

First Place – Andrew Killian (Port Brewing – Santa’s Little Helper)

“The robust, coffee roastiness, slight sting of alcohol, sweet malt profile, and lingering of hops playing three periods of fistfight-free hockey with my tonsils. Second Place – Jay Hutcheson (Alpine – Nelson)

“When I drink Alpine Nelson, I’m reminded of Nelson the bully from “The Simpsons”… He is the toughest kid in the schoolyard and nobody disputes that.  The taste of this beer is amazing and even as I sing it’s praise at 10AM, I crave that crisp deliciousness on my lips.  My first taste was at BLAH, I was amazed by the beautiful hoppy crispness this beer delivered. The bottom line is, nobody can make Alpine Nelson IPA bleed it’s own blood, and if they do, they’ll be sorry.”

Third Place – Amy Scarborough (Stone – Arrogant Bastard)

“I love my Arrogant Bastard because it is a true San Diego Winner…never comes in 2nd place like say the Padres or the Chargers. It is never BLACKED out! You always feel like you are a winner drinking this wonderfully crafted taste of pleasure no matter whether you choose Pale Ale or Fizzy Yellow…..it never lets you down and there no service fee’s ever!”
